Life is up, and life is down.
This is how we discover life. Sometimes we are up, and sometimes we are down. There are so many lessons it is trying to teach. So much so that we could say, too many lessons, not enough life.
When we are doing well, we forget a lot of things, and when we aren’t doing well, we remember those things. It is a seemingly endless cycle.
One of the things we are scared about is falling. There are many fears, so many we cannot count them. It is a part of life. Even the ones who say we should face fears have them too. It is everyone’s known secret – having fears.
We all fail at some point, and these are the reasons why it is better to fail than to be crippled by fear and not try at all:
- Falling helps you grow
It would sometimes hurt, perhaps all the time, but when you fall, you learn something that is enough reason to keep trying. Without having gone through failure, you will not be molded by experience nor would your knowledge grow.
- It forces you out of your comfort zone
Nothing forces people out of the comfort zone better than failure. Nobody wants to stay a failure, so they change their perception of comfort to be in a better place than they were when they failed. You know this to be true.
- Falling teaches you to take risks
Once failure is experienced, you will understand that it necessary for so many reasons. It strengthens you and motivates you to take risks, big risks even, which is always a good thing.
- It allows you to discover yourself
When you fail, you will find out what you can do and what you are willing to sacrifice to do better and to be better. It is one of the most important lessons we could learn from falling. Each moment is a teaching moment and there may even instances when you would be surprised to find out what you are capable of.
- Fallings leads you to success
You know you are ready to succeed when you have gone through a lot, and you will not settle for anything less than you deserve. You will work harder than you ever have until it happens. It becomes non-negotiable. It is better to try again and again, even when you might fail because in failing, you succeed.
It doesn’t feel good to fail, but if it becomes the way to be where you want to be, it doesn’t seem so bad at all.
