“Keep your face to the sun, and you will never see the shadows.” –Helen Keller
This much is true even when we don’t like where we are at some point or when we don’t have the will to face it the next day. It revolves, it comes full circle. Sometimes, we are up and sometimes; we are down. Most times, we feel that we are down even when we are not. Perhaps it is our perception or it is the reality. Whatever it is, we hold on and fight, and try again.
Even if you are experiencing a lot of difficulties, you still have the choice to focus on the positive things in your life. Stay strong. You can endure and will surpass anything that would come your way if you want to, if you WILL to.
When you are going through a lot of things, it’s easy to ignore what you should to be thankful for like:
- Being alive
- Great health
- Having your family and friends to support you
- Having food on your plate and a roof over your head
- Countless blessings
Studies have shown that practicing gratitude can instantly uplift your mood. Give it a try by writing down the things you are thankful for throughout the day, and reviewing them before you sleep. Once you’ve seen the great results, share these with your friends and loved ones.
Sometimes, you don’t have to do something grand or complicated, only that you try and keep holding on to hope and faith. In the end, what is meant to be will manifest and everything will fall into place.
If all else fails and you feel that nothing else could make you smile, look up. We assure you you’d feel instantly better. Give it a try if you haven’t yet.
