There are a million reasons to be thankful for.
Sadly, sometimes, we see a million more reasons not to be. It is because we overlook the things we do have and we long for something we don’t. We end up unhappy and resentful when it should not be the case.
Nevertheless, thankful or not, we are always given what we need even when we crave for what we want.
To nudge you a little bit, here are our top tips to be thankful for every single day:
Appreciate every little thing you have. They are the very things that matter in the end. Each day is a blessing, and there are so many beautiful things around us. Look around you and see what you have instead of what you don’t.
Start a gratitude journal
Write everything you are thankful for, from small to big things. Don’t worry about the wordings or how it would look like, just write what you have in mind and the very things you are grateful for. When you are feeling down, read your journal, and you will feel a whole lot better.
Be kind and gentle. Say thank you for all the good things in life and always be appreciative. If someone does something good, say good words and make genuine compliments. Sometimes, simple words are enough, and they always go a long way.
End the day feeling great
Before you turn in, think about the good things that happened that day and all other things you are thankful for. You will notice that you’d go to bed feeling great. In fact, you would be more than eager for the next day to come.
