Fast tracking does not always work.
It certainly is not advisable when it comes to your career and success. When you find shortcuts, it could mean fast tracking indeed but not to your success but to your failure. This is something you don’t want to happen especially when you feel that you have already exerted too much time and effort, only to try again when you are so close.
Nobody is born an expert, do not make an attempt to be one on the onset. Start from the beginning. Learn what you have to, what you need to and then learn some more until you become an expert in your chosen field. It will happen soon enough, maybe not as quick as you want it to, but it will, at the right time.
There is no shame in not knowing everything and in not knowing anything at all. What is important is your willingness to learn, to begin expanding your knowledge. Don’t rush to be great. Anything that is worth it is also worth the wait. Don’t rush to know them all. Everything takes time. Enjoy the journey and do not put too much pressure on yourself lest you burn out.
Learning is a lifetime process but being a beginner does not last. It is necessary. Take all the lessons you have learned along the way and in whatever you commit to do. Be an excellent example of what success should be. Do not settle for less than your best and do not tolerate mediocrity no matter what.
Being consistent in excellence is a choice, the same way choosing to succeed is. You have made your choice, and now you just have to live it.
Tell us, how was your beginning and how would you stay consistent at being your great self?
