Confidence is elusive, isn’t it?
If human beings share one common concern every single day, it is confidence, or lack thereof.
We are not alone on this. Even the most successful people have confidence issues. The difference, however, is that they face it while most of us run away from it.
Here’s how you can fix it:
Turn off negative thoughts.
You have had enough of negative thoughts, and if you scrutinize all of them, nothing has helped you become better. Rather, negativity has made you procrastinate and fearful of all things great. So, please, no more negative thoughts and take risks. You will be surprised at how much you can do when you start to believe in yourself.
Dress for and claim success.
It is proven that when you dress and carry yourself well, you have more confidence to tackle any tasks and challenges you will be facing on any given day. Also, when you dress well, you know you are paving the path to success. In fact, you are claiming it, and it definitely nudges your confidence higher.
Acknowledge your worth within and outside your work.
You may have been battering yourself believing you are not worth a lot or not good in anything but when you begin to appreciate who you are and what you can do, you will definitely go a long, long way. We understand that sometimes, we would make a lot of mistakes and that is okay. Nobody is perfect, so please do not expect yourself to be. Instead, do the best you can do at any given moment and give it all you’ve got. Even when it does not turn out the way you expect it to be, you will still learn, and each lesson will always be a confidence builder.
There you have it. Remember to be gentle with yourself and get up every time you fall. Confidence, after all, is not something you acquire. It is something you summon when needed and when things are not playing in your court the way you want it.
