You do not need permission from anybody.
But that is the problem, isn’t it? We were brought up in the world where what others think matter. At least that is the mindset that has been drilled in our upbringing. While there are certainly an upside to it, like considering the feelings of others before we react or do anything, the downside is fatal when it comes to our dreams and aspirations in life.
Instead of following our passion, our dreams, and our heart, we end up in a prison of unrealistic expectations. We become frightened of our own potential, and we settle for anything less than great because we seek approval from others instead of travelling the distance to be where we want to be.
Whatever you want to be is not dependent on the nod of others. You can get there if you’d stop thinking about what other people would say about you—or what you think they’d say about you. Come to think of it, how much time to you spend thinking about what Z,Y, & Z would do? You hardly think about them at all. The same is true when it comes to you. They hardly think about what you are going to do. Instead of cowering in fear of failure and of displeasing others around you, surprise them with a tenacity of a bull.
Charge at it and be great in your own time, in your own decision. Permission is sought by those who live under the shadow of doubt and those who are weak. You are NOT WEAK, and you certainly bask in your own light.
Be you. Be the great you! You deserve it and you know it, too. Don’t doubt and always believe in what you can do, in what you can be.
