Failure is the one thing that jolts us awake.

Either that or it is the very thing that leads us to an even deeper stupor. Failure does a lot of things to a person. It scares us, it stops us on track, and it makes us forget our dreams.

But if failure doesn’t wake us up and make us work harder than ever, why should we let it derail us, right?

Here are lessons and reminders that would motivate you to try harder and keep going no matter how hard you have failed:

Failure doesn’t last

It sure doesn’t, unless you make it so. If you open your eyes and heart enough, you would realize that a failure does not mean the end of things. If anything, it is a chance to start over, to do better and to look at things with a whole new perspective. Once you accept this, you would have a greater chance of achieving success. Let failure be a lesson, not the end of your destination.

Failure is not about you

There are things you may not be able to accomplish on your first attempt, and it is okay. It doesn’t mean you are a failure or that it is about you. Sometimes, it isn’t time yet and sometimes; you are meant to do something else. Don’t make it about you, because it isn’t. Remember, you only lose when you make it about you.

Failure is a great teacher

There will always be lessons to be learned, the hard or the easy way but one of the greatest teachers would be a failure. It teaches us perseverance, patience, and of course, acceptance and it teaches us about life. While it is not pleasant to fail, it doesn’t mean you could not use it to your advantage. Learn as much as you can, don’t give up and when things don’t work out, don’t ever be afraid to try again.

Failure expands your knowledge

Knowledge is acquired as time goes by and experience teaches a lot of things, but one of the best ways to expand the knowledge is through failure. Discover, learn and apply until such time failure (or the fear of it) no longer hangs over your head.

Failure makes you humble

Humility is a trait people need, it is what we need, and failure is the best way to learn it. If people don’t fail, we would not learn humility, and we would not learn to fight for what we want to happen and deserve.

May failure always motivate you to try harder and to never give up the fight.
