Giving up does not require much effort.
You just let go. We can even do it in an epic proportion, making it harder and harder to get back up. While giving up may be easier than fighting, you don’t always end up happy when you do because:
a) You regret not putting up a stronger resolve.
b) You have tons of questions, which can only be answered had you kept going.
c) You have plenty of “what if’s” hanging over your head.
You know the feeling of wanting to turn back the time and unfortunately, whatever you do, whoever you turn to, you can’t. The next time you think of throwing in the towel, you may want to reconsider.
We agree that sometimes, we have to choose our battles, and that is alright provided you have already done what you can, and you know you won’t have questions and regrets later on. When you have done your best, no one can ask for more. You cannot ask for more.
What if instead of putting your hands up every time you experience hardship, you decide to fight one more time and then one more time? Why don’t you challenge yourself to see what is going to happen if you keep going?
Wait, we can tell you. You will:
a) Have a bigger chance of success.
b) Experience and see possibilities open before you.
c) Have no regrets.
d) Be happier.
e) Overcome your fear of failure.
Do it. See for yourself. We are not saying success is guaranteed or that you will be excluded from disappointments, but you will definitely be better than you were before.
There is only one way to succeed, and that is to keep trying even if you are terrified and working harder than you have ever done before.
