No, we have not discovered a pot of gold.
Nor have we found a magic bullet to make us happy. Instead, we have decided to focus on the things that are making us happy, stay positive and we are more appreciative of what life has to offer.
It wasn’t always easy. We were, like most people, blinded by the idea that happiness can be had from others and from getting what we want.
What was surprising was that happiness is quite simple. There is no formula for it, and it is uncomplicated.
How are we happier? These are the things we focus on every single day:
We always look at the bright side of life. It is not perfect, but there are so many things that make it interesting, exciting and amazing. Instead of dwelling on the negative, we focus on what we can do something about. This means peace of mind and less stress, too.
Big things or small, we are always thankful. We feel more blessed and content this way, and we end up happier in so many ways.
We believe it is the best medicine and for good reasons. We don’t take things seriously, and we laugh even at ourself and our mistakes. We find humor in everything because sulking is not something that could help improve things, not by a long shot.
This is something the world comprehends. We practice kindness to others, we understand, and we don’t judge. We do this because it is what everyone deserves. Besides, we want to be treated the same way—the universe responds to the vibes you send to it; this much we know.
We do things with love, and we see things with love. This is not to say that we don’t get sidetracked from time to time, or that we are in complete control of our emotions. We are human, after all. But we focus on love, the way we focus on the positive aspect of everything else we do.
These “things” are the most important to us, which are making us happier than we have ever been. It only proves that we don’t need material things to be happy, we just have to decide to be.
