“The more you eat, the less flavor; the less you eat, the more flavor.” – Chinese Proverb
Food is life.
This is what we often read others write and what we often say especially when we are hungry, or when our favorite dish is in front of us. This is a good thing because we show appreciation for the blessings we have.
Food is many things. It keeps us filled. It gives us strength and of course, it provides nutrients. It is like magic. It does so many things for the body and life. Unfortunately, sometimes, we overdo it, and that is where concerns pop up.
We do not recommend deprivation because we have tried it and it is not good for the body and mind. It only makes you crave more, and it also drives you insane. Why suffer from it when you can handle it well and find a right balance by eating moderately? That is the easiest and the more practical option.
We say that food is magic because we can be as healthy as we want to be depending on the food we eat and how much we eat. After all, when we only eat enough, we become healthier, and we enjoy the food we eat more.
This is why the food tastes better when you eat less, and it loses the same taste, flavor, and appeal when you eat more than what you need or what the body requires. This reason alone is enough to remind us that we should eat right, well and just enough to meet what the body requires, to have nutrients to be healthy and strong.
Food is magic for so many reasons, but despite this, it is not the only answer to become healthy. With self-care, exercise, good sleep, and less stress, you are well on your way to be as healthy as you can be.
We create our kind of magic, but the magic of food is one great thing to have. Let us treat our body well by eating right at the right amount.
