This Is Why The Word “Can’t” Makes Me Laugh Like Crazy

Can we unlearn it?

Yes, we can, if we want to. There are so many ways to make things happen. However, this is only true if we want to make something happen. If we do not, we make a lot of excuses.

I find the word ‘CAN’T’ funny because we make it a valid reason why we are not able to do something, even if it would be easier just to DO IT. It has become a poisonous habit!

I CAN’T because I don’t have a job.—Get one!
I CAN’T because my car broke down. –Have you ever heard of the word commute?
I CAN’T because I am tired.— Because I partied all night.
I CAN’T because I am not qualified.—Because I hate school and learning.
I CAN’T because I don’t know how. –Because I spend zero effort in finding out what it is all about.
I CAN’T because…just because.—Because I love making excuses.

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.

However, when we want something to happen, we move mountains to get it done, come hell and high water. Isn’t it ironic?

If only we spend our time taking actions instead of making excuses. After all, it is action, not excuses, that takes us where we want to go. Success does not happen by the fancy excuses we invent.

I am not saying I have not made excuses before, in fact, I still do. The difference right now is that I make excuses for not being able to go to a party or why I am not spending my heard earned money into something I know I do not need.

Nobody is perfect, yes, but we can learn from this. We have to change; we have to be different. Because the word CAN’T is no laughing matter. It is an excuse not to move ahead even when you have no reason to stay where you are. It is the time we unlearn it. The longer we delay and procrastinate, the further opportunities get away from us.

Comments welcome.
